1660 Map of New Amsterdam
!!! CAUTION - THIS IMAGE IS 640,000 BYTES - IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO LOAD!!!
Move your mouse cursor over the buildings on the map. Watch your status line (usually at lower left of your browser - block nr, lot/house number, and name should show up for each house.

A table listing Owners/Tenants and a reference to the map. I suggest using your browser "find" function if you are looking for a specific name. The abbreviation 'BTW' = Beyond The Wall. (O) = Owner, (T) = Tenant. The list is alphabetized by first name, patronymic, surname (as far as they are known at this time).

Still to be done:
An index of the inhabitants crossed to the map.
A page for each lot/house (they are named but not yet 'clickable')

We'll think of other things to do also, I suspect. Any suggestions? Contact [Email address is no longer in use - page for memorial purposes only]
