Each port on the OpSail2000 and TallShips2000 circuit expects two million visitors minimum. Although the following describes the situation in Norfolk, VA, we are also seeking sponsors in San Juan, PR, Miami, FL, Charleston, SC, New York, NY, Portland, ME and Halifax, NS.

The Norfolk, VA parade of sails will be twelve miles long and will last more then four hours. We have arranged with Norfolk to provide a tent in front of the yacht for the Discover Ukraine Exhibit which will include ten very famous paintings from Ukraine. These excellent quality paintings will be a thrill for any real art lover. Display of famous works of art outside of Ukraine is extremely unusual.

The Sponsor will be allowed to put a banner over the side of the Yacht while in port and all persons walking by would see it. The "Bat'kivshchyna" will be the first CIS yacht allowed into Norfolk and New London ports since the end of the cold war and the organizers will mention this. Press releases will be submitted to the Tall Ship Newswire (international coverage) and to local area newspapers (local coverage) explaining that the sponsor is helping a newly independent country visit the United States, etc.

During the Parade of sails in Norfolk, the sponsor could have a huge banner put on the sails for all to see. A yacht from Ukraine will be an oddity if for no other reason then the name "Bat'kivshchyna".

The sponsor and ten guests would be the Captain's guests during the Parade of sails. Depending on the amount of sponsorship we could reach an agreement for parade of sails in NYC as well.
